Olga Barajas is an associate attorney at Reed Longyear and focuses her practice on estate planning which encompasses trusts and wills, transfer of wealth, tax planning and strategy, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and probate. She was born and raised in Seattle and has established roots in her community, earning both her undergraduate degree and Juris Doctor degree at the University of Washington.
For Olga Barajas, the practice of law and estate planning is a deeply personal relationship between attorney and client. She forges strong and lasting connections with her clients to not only assist them with their present needs, but also with their future needs and the needs of their loved ones who survive them. Olga believes that the key to a successful estate plan is communication and understanding. She enjoys meeting with her clients to obtain a clear view of the full scope of their goals and to help them determine how to achieve them.
Two of the most important aspects of a person’s life is their loved ones and finances. Olga Barajas knows the importance of addressing these with equal importance to give her clients peace of mind for the future. By recognizing that estate and family planning is not a “one size fits all” product, Olga is able to advise her clients in a way to best suit each client’s individualized needs. She takes a client by client approach to every estate plan to ensure that it is personalized to the client and their goals.
In connection with her work in the estate and tax planning fields, Olga Barajas also advises her clients with respect to their business interests with a focus on closely held businesses. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, she understands how the development and evolution of a family business can factor into a family’s plan for the future and retirement. Olga’s specialized approach to the estate planning field has earned her the honor of being recognized as a Washington Super Lawyers “Rising Star” annually since 2020.
Olga Barajas is a native Spanish speaker and enjoys traveling (particularly spontaneous weekend trips!) and spending time with her husband and daughter.
