On August 17th Attorney Carla Calogero presented to Geriatric Fellows at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System on the topic of advance care directives and surrogate decision-making, including guardianship, in Washington State. VA Puget Sound serves the health care needs of over 80,000 veterans in the Pacific Northwest. Carla focuses her practice on elder and special needs law, and regularly speaks at elder law related events in the community.

We are excited to announce that Attorney Gary Wolfstone will be joining us of counsel, specializing in personal injury law. Mr. Wolfstone has been practicing law for 42 years. He has worked on several personal injury cases, ranging from maritime to medical malpractice and has won successful judgments up to $2,000,000. Mr. Wolfstone will be working alongside Attorney John Vaughey who practices personal injury law as well.
Congratulations to Paralegal Shirlee Williams on her 9 year anniversary at Reed Longyear. Shirlee assists attorneys Christina Corwin and Erin Blower with family law matters. When Shirlee isn’t busy at the office, she enjoys getting outside and kayaking with fellow paralegal Sheila Sowecke. Senior Services is a nonprofit organization that provides vital assistance to seniors and their loved ones. Last week, our family law Mediator and Attorney, Christina Corwin, attended a professional skills program in family law mediation at Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, Pepperdine School of Law. Christina further strengthened her mediation skills by incorporating advanced mediation principles and cutting edge processes into her mediation practice.
