On Saturday, February 20th, Carla Calogero was a guest speaker at the University of Washington certification program in Care Management. Carla presented on the topic of “Elder Law and Bioethics,” in particular, on the subjects of the continuum of  the promotion of individual autonomy and the protection of vulnerable adults, and on decisional and functional capacities. Students in the professional certification program learn how to manage the health care needs of aging adults and individuals with acute or chronic diseases or disabilities.

Prior to law school, Carla earned a Masters in Bioethics from the University of Washington, which greatly informs her practice as an elder law attorney.

Carla’s practice focuses on elder and special needs law; guardianship, probates and trusts; vulnerable adult protective actions; advance care planning, including end of life planning; and estate planning.
